Makeup artist Fatima Nasir is the latest LSA nominee to announce her withdrawal from the award show.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday morning, Nasir said, "I stand in solidarity with those who have withdrawn from the awards before me and we need to keep raising our voice against sexual harassment until the industry, and the world, is a safe place for women to work."

She continued, "It has taken a while to muster up the courage to write this, but what got me to speak up was knowing that whether we see it or not, every voice raised matters. Every step taken matters."

In her note, Nasir expressed the hope that the Pakistani fashion and entertainment industry will one day become "a better, safer and more equal place for women to work in and most important of all, women supporting women".

Nasir is the sixth nominee to have opted out of the LSAs this year. She follows the examples of model Eman Suleman, clothing brand Generation, makeup artist Saima Bargfrede, singer Meesha Shafi and folk rock band The Sketches.

Stand in solidarity of innocent people being wrongly harassed and vilified, not against them. In essence, you are standing up for a slanderer and a liar.
