Hrithik Roshan narrowly escapes Istanbul airport bombing

The actor was heading back to India with his kids via Atatürk Airport
Updated 30 Jun, 2016

The bombing at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport last night sent a tremor of fear down everyone's spine including Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.

The actor was en route to India via Istanbul, after vacationing in Spain with his two sons, and narrowly missed the triple bombing by a mere few hours after taking the earliest flight out.

As soon as news of the bombings broke, he tweeted his narrow escape.

He praised the airport staff for helping him throughout and condemned terrorism, asking everyone to stand against it.

The triple bombing took place in the late hours of Tuesday night and have left almost 36 dead and 150 injured. Atatürk Airport is the third busiest airport in Europe and this is the deadliest of four attacks to rock Turkey's biggest city this year.

"missed connecting flight at Istanbul n wer stuck at airport next flight ws next day,but took economy n flew out earlier" He missed it by hours but being a typical celebrity he is trying to make it look like he escaped a war zone and that too travelling in economy. OMG ... he must be traumatized.

Never miss an opportunity for publicity, even if it distracts from tragedy of others. Million of other passengers were within few hours from or to the same airport ....so what is the big deal here.

Peace loving people of the world whatever the religion they follow we condemned this type of suicidal acts killing the innocent people. The terrorist have no religion and no language and their only language is creating mayhem and shedding the blood of the innocents.

Sympathy for the families who lost a loved one in this horrible criminal attack. Don't give a money about the stupid publicity seeking film performer.

Looks like he was more distressed to have taken the "economy class" than escaping the bombing. Good for his fans who travel in economy.

Turks are reaping what they sowed. First they allied themselves with Daesh. Then they indicated they are against it. Love gone bad always ends up in tears and tragedy.

If he missed his connecting flight he would have taken the flight next day...............so where does this no notion of a "narrow escape" come in? What a way to gain publicity! Ridiculous, Mr. Roshan. Please refrain from using the sympathy card here. He, along with his kids, was apparently returning to India and would have been in transit anyway. So, the possibility of him being at the point of the horrible incident seems out of question by any standards. This just seems like a publicity stunt.
