7 celebrities who could have looked better at the Oscars
Clichés are clichés for a reason -- they're true and you know what they say: save the best for last.
As award season wraps up, The 88th Annual Academy Awards happened in Tinseltown today. While the Oscars are all about celebrating talent and the best of film, we also had our eyes glued to the red carpet, where the real drama happens.
Block colours, strapless gowns and lots of embellishments made an appearance this year and although Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts and Lady Gaga slayed (and by slayed, we mean just narrowly escaped the worst-dressed list), other attendees left us disappointed.
Here are some of this year's unfortunate sartorial choices, based off the reactions of audience members and the Images staff:
Heidi Klum: supermodel or a bridesmaid from the 90s?
Speaking of the 90s, have you seen Brie Larson's prom dress from then?
Buckle up because you're going to almost fall out of chair when you see the Versace horror Freida Pinto wore.
Priyanka Chopra's Zuhair Murad number did her Baywatch-ready bod no favours; it created folds of skin where none existed before
Versace was a repeat offender: Tina Fey, who was clad in a purple dress from the label, always knows how to make people laugh, sometimes unintentionally through her style choices.
Kerry Washington wore a 50 Shades of Grey kinda waist trainer on top and paired it with a chiffon bottom. Weird.
Kate Winslet ran out of clothes so she wore a garbage bag instead, a Ralph Lauren garbage bag, mind you.
Oscar nominee Cate Blanchett was channelling her inner Elsa from Frozen.
Better luck next year, ladies.
