Indian actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are all anyone can talk about these days when it comes to Bollywood. The rumoured couple's wedding festivities are apparently starting on December 7 and preparations for their big fat Indian wedding are reportedly well underway — preparations that include mysterious Falguni Shane Peacock boxes, NDA contracts and secret codes.
While Katrina and Kaushal are still quiet about all the hullabaloo around their rumoured wedding — with Kaif denying the wedding rumours back in October — that hasn't stopped the Indian media from snooping around and getting the low down on wedding preparations and events. According to Times of India, the couple's wedding festivities will start from December 7 with a sangeet, followed by a mehndi on December 8 and then nuptials on December 9. There will also be a reception on December 10.
The wedding is reportedly going to be held at Rajasthan five-star luxury heritage hotel Six Senses Fort Hotel, Jaipur and they have apparently booked the entire resort for themselves.
Sources told Pinkvilla that Kaif and Kaushal opted to be legally wed in court ahead of the wedding festivities. The court marriage was due to take place on either December 3 or 4 in Mumbai, attended by the families of both the bride and groom. They would be married under the Special Marriage Act of 1954 meant for inter-caste marriages in India. After the court marriage, the couple were to fly off to Rajasthan ahead of their wedding events.
Themes of the sangeet, mehndi and wedding
The bride and groom apparently really went out when it comes to the themes. Pinkvilla reported that after meeting with several event planners, Kaif and Kaushal decided the theme of the mehndi will be "gold, beige, ivory and white". For the sangeet, the couple settled on the theme "bling" and for the wedding, it is "pastel sorbet".
Reportedly, there will be performances by the couple and several Bollywood stars at their sangeet.
The buzz around Katrina Kaif's wedding outfits
Indian designer Anaita Shroff was seen leaving the rumoured bride's residence on December 3, leaving news media outlets speculating whether she would be wearing Shroff's designs on the events. The paparazzi also snapped pictures of a couple of Falguni Shane Peacock boxes arriving at the bride's residence. The luxury brand is coveted in India and internationally. Back in October actor Sarah Jessica Parker of Sex and the City fame was seen in a lehnga choli by the brand.
Vicky Kaushal's wedding outfit
Rumour has it that the groom will be wearing outfits by Indian designer Kunal Rawal after they were pictured being delivered to the actor's residence by media outlets, according to Pinkvilla.
Wedding photos to be featured in an international magazine
It also seems like Kaif and Kaushal might sell the rights to their wedding photos to an international magazine for an exclusive feature, according to Pinkvilla. We've seen plenty of Hollywood couples go down this route and looks like celebrity couples in B-Town are following suit.
A closer look a the wedding guest list
Reportedly, the invitation cards have already been sent out to the wedding guests. The guest list is said to include 120 fully vaccinated people, amongst which are many Bollywood's top celebrities such as actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan and film director Farah Khan.
There are also rumours that Kaif and Kaushal have given secret codes to wedding guests to keep their wedding private. Pinkvilla reports the secret codes will be made based on the alphabets in the bride and groom's names. Guests will only be able to enter the wedding event premises by providing their respective code.
Katrina's family has been spotted around town
Indian media outlets spotted Katrina's mother arriving at her residence on December 4 alongside her sister Isabelle and brother Sebastien Laurent Michel. Michel has flown in to India to attend the wedding.
Vicky Kaushal visits Katrina's house
The 'bride' was also paid a visit by the 'groom' on December 4. Kaushal was seen arriving at Kaif's house in the evening and left her residence around midnight. The reportedly soon-to-be married couple must have oodles to talk about now that the wedding festivities are so near.
Katrina Kaif's custom wedding shoes
The bride as well as her family have reportedly ordered custom shoes from Joy Shoes, a shoe shop located at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. That's some fancy footwear right there. Joy Shoes is known to have dressed the feet of Amitabh Bachchan amongst other prominent names.
No photo NDA agreement
There will be no picture snapping at the it couple's wedding events it seems. According to Pinkvilla, Kaif and Kaushal have asked their guests to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) ensure a no-photo event for maximum privacy from the paparazzi and an ever-curious social media.
All eyes are definitely on Kaif and Kaushal's upcoming wedding as excited fans (and the Indian paparazzi) count down to the glamorous events ahead.
