Indian media plans Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal’s wedding without the duo even confirming their relationship
If rumours are to be believed, Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are going to tie the knot very soon. The couple has sent out wedding invites, according to reports in the Indian media and the wedding festivities are apparently set to begin this week.
The couple is still keeping mum about all the hullabaloo but nothing can stop the Indian media from getting the scoop, especially when it involves a Bollywood wedding. But when the couple hasn't even confirmed that they're a couple, is this really a scoop?
The wedding is going to be held at Rajasthan five-star luxury heritage hotel Six Senses Fort Hotel, Jaipur according to IANS. Rumour has it that the couple is also following same protocols as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma — guests have to leave their phones at home. They have also reportedly booked the entire resort for themselves.
An insider told Koi Moi that the couple has a list of events starting with a mehndi, sangeet and then finally the wedding reception itself.
As far as the clothes are concerned, though earlier reports had suggested that the starlet would be wearing a traditional piece from Sabyasachi, that’s apparently not the route Kaif will be taking. She will be seen in an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla piece for her mehndi and a Manish Malhotra lehenga set for her sangeet, according to the publication. Some outlets also said that the actor will stick to tradition and wear a Gucci gown for her big day. Only time will tell what the actor will actually wear for her big day — and if that big day is even happening this winter.
A guest told Pinkvilla that the event will be a perfect blend between a traditional and modern Indian wedding as both the actors took care of small details to make it a memorable event for everyone. It will be both a Hindu and Christian wedding, just like Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas in 2018.
Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, Karan Johar, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar, Shanaya Kapoor, Arpita Sharma and Alvira Agnihotri are a few names out of many who have been invited to the wedding. Shah Rukh Khan is also expected to attend the event along with 200 other guests.
Kaushal’s relative has denied the rumours about their wedding ceremony and said all of the things being reported are false. Kaif also denied the news back in October. Now, the media has set the date, the guest list and picked out the stars’ wardrobes but the actors themselves haven’t even confirmed they’re a couple.
However, these denials haven't stopped the Indian media from rampant speculation and spreading details. In case the rumours aren't true, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal will find themselves with an entire wedding planned out by the media minus the bride and groom, of course.
