In a recent interview, Lena Headey, who played Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, revealed that she wasn't too happy with how her character died on the show. She said if she got to sit down with show's creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss over drinks she would tell them, "I wanted a better death”.

She added, "Obviously you dream of your death, you could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb."

In the second last episode of the eight Game of Thrones season, one of the most hated (and the most iconic) characters in the show, Cersei, was killed when the building around her collapsed, while she stood in the arms of her lover and brother Jamie. Game of Thrones fans were not happy with this anticlimactic end for one of the most devious and cruel characters on the show.

When the episode was aired, fans took to twitter to express their anger and dissatisfaction, and came up with some savage tweets like the ones below.

She plays an incestuous role, she should have been roasted by the dragon in the red keep. It would have been more fitting for her intrigues and murders. Crushed beyond recognition would have been okay too, sling with her brother.
