Pakistani fans are sending a gift to their favourite Korean pop group and it's adorable
Korean pop music has been gaining popularity and it looks like Pakistan is getting into Kpop fever as well!
No, we aren't talking about the funny and viral 'Gangnam Style', we're talking about K-Pop band BTS, which has been gaining popularity all around the world. That includes Pakistan.
The BTS Pakistan Official Fan Club exists with over 5000 people liking the page. They love the seven member pop group as much as any fan would. With the band nearing it's four-year anniversary, the fan club wanted to do something special for them. And trust us. They have!
The fan page got in messages from over 40 BTS fans (also known as Armys) from around Pakistan and complied a fan book to send to BTS. And it's not just some cute scrapbook! Not that there's anything wrong with scrapbooks...
Fan and page admin Hajra Gilani is the one who decided to make this happen. "Basically, the initial idea was mine about us making a fan book with all kinds of entries and send it as a gift to BTS after compiling it in book form. But once we started, there was a big team working vigorously on it."
Gilani went to different people for assistance and was surprised by the positive feedback. "Many of the editors and translators volunteered to work on it for free, although I did fund the compilation of the book myself. It's amazing how Armys [Fans of BTS] can gather for BTS regardless of where they live and who they are, and what work they do. Everyone is so dedicated to BTS!"
The fanbook has messages to BTS from their Pakistani fans, which have been translated to Korean and digitally printed with bright colours and lots of pictures. Unfortunately there were many who were either too late to send in their message (like us) or just didn't make the cut. More than 40 messages already makes for a big book!
BTS, also know as the Bangtan Boys, is a K-Pop group which has been in the field for four years now. They have won over 45 awards which also includes a Billboard music award for Top Social Artist. It's no wonder they have a fan following in Pakistan.
We can't wait to see if BTS will respond.
