A gun mishap on the sets of his next home production - Akshat Verma's upcoming action film - has landed Saif Ali Khan in the hospital, but the actor is said to be recovering well, reports Hindustan Times.
The Phantom actor injured his thumb after a gun misfired and was taken to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, where he has undergone surgery and is expected to be discharged soon.
“He had hurt his thumb so he underwent a minor surgery and he is absolutely fine now. He should get discharged in a day or two,” said a hospital source.
His sister Soha Ali Khan confirmed that the actor will be discharged in a few days: “Yes (he was admitted) in the early hours of yesterday, as for release doctor will advice but not today,” she said.
