Priyanka congratulates Sania Mirza as they share Time's Most Influential 100 honour
Priyanka Chopra's got a new feather in her cap.
Time named her as one of The 100 Most Influential People of 2016. Not only this, they even put her on the cover of the magazine's special edition.
Priyanka was of course quite pleased by the honour:
She also gave a shout-out to the other Indian woman on the list, Sania Mirza:
Priyanka has been named among the likes of actors Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron and Melissa McCarthy in the artists category of the list, while Sania Mirza joined Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj and Adele in the Icons category.
In her profile written by the Rock aka Dwayne Johnson, Priyanka is described as a "star rising higher" and lauded for her "drive, ambition, self-respect" and knowing that "there's no substitute for hard work."
Sania, whose profile is written by Sachin Tendulkar, is hailed as an "inspiration" on the court. He lauded her "dedication and willpower" to reinvent herself fully as a doubles player when her singles career was cut short by wrist injuries, reports Times of India.
Other Indians on the list include RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and founders of Flipkart Binny Bansal and Sachin Bansal.
