A great Artist in the very sense of the word “artist” – beyond time, space and geo-political or cultural limits. I think he would remain an icon of culture for a very long time.

Sad news. I am a huge fan of three of his albums: Hunky Dory, Space Oddity, and Ziggy Stardust. Songs like Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed, Cygnet Committee, God Knows I'm Good, The Width of a Circle, Changes, Eight Line Poem, Kooks, Quicksand, Five Years, Under Pressure, etc. speak volumes about the genius of this man. I am less inclined to his pop / Disco stuff and his film career.

The man was a genius and was called "chameleon" for a reason!!! He was the most influential progressive musician whose past works never sounded dated even after 4-5 decades that cannot be said for most of his contemporaries like the Stones or the Beatles! His evolution as a musician throughout his career was nothing but spectacular! Bowie finally has taken is last bow after releasing Blackstar just the other week!
