Ali Gul Pir and Azeemah Nakhoda are officially married
It’s wedding season all over Pakistan and that means weddings galore. The latest celebrity to tie the knot this wedding season is comedian Ali Gul Pir who announced his wedding to medical aesthetician Azeemah Nakhoda. The main event was all glitz and glamour but it was their preparations that kicked off weeks before that got us invested — from the dance practices or Pir’s actor friend Mansha Pasha’s exclusive behind-the-scenes of the couple.
While the wedding took place on Tuesday, Gul Pir took to Instagram on Thursday with photos from the event. “Shadi hogaee [Married]!” he wrote.
The post got congratulatory messages from several of Gul Pir’s entertainment industry colleagues, including Aiman Khan, Ali Safina, Nadia Hussain Khan, model Fia Khan and TV host Abdullah Sultan.
The wedding itself was attended by Pasha, her lawyer husband Jibran Nasir and content creator Amtul Baweja of Patangeer.
At the wedding reception, Gul Pir wore a sky blue satin kurta and pants with matching beige-gold embroidered open sherwani by Republic By Omar Farooq. The bride donned a copper pink-orange lehenga with a matching shirt that had silver work and white embroidery that complemented her ivory net dupatta.
The couple officially got married in an intimate nikah ceremony on December 24. The ‘Cousin Dhazan’ singer shared photos from the event on Instagram and wrote, “Feeling loved, blessed and grateful to have a life partner and to get such a loving family as well. Azeemah Nakhoda you are stuck with me forever now, good luck to you! Nikkah done.”
The couple also had a grand dholki event prior to the main reception and valima that saw Laal Kabootar actor Pasha groove to upbeat mehndi music. Gul Pir and Nakhoda announced their engagement on Instagram last year in January with photos from what looked like an intimate family affair.
