Desi Twitter is appalled by a new ‘abomination’ that goes by the name of ‘One-Pot Chicken Qorma’

Rice? Raisins? Spinach? Our ancestors are rolling in their graves after seeing qorma desecrated like this.
Updated 05 Dec, 2022

We have to warn you before you proceed reading this piece — what you’re about to see may cause sharp pain in your heart and your eyes to beg for mercy. Trigger warning: murder of a cultural cuisine.

On Saturday, Tasty UK shared a video recipe on Twitter with the caption, bless their naïve little hearts, “One-Pot Chicken Qorma [heart eyes emoji]”. We don’t know who’s responsible for this sweet (LITERALLY, they added RAISINS) little monstrosity but we’re sure they might be preparing an apology note considering all of desi Twitter has united to condemn this artistic vandalism of our beloved qorma.

The phrase “one-pot” was posed in a way that made us think, hey, maybe they’re trying to do something different, but never in our wildest dreams did we expect the science of qorma to be entirely obliterated. They added rice, they added raisins, they added spinach and then had the audacity to scoop it all up in a bowl — all ingredients very much visible in the ‘mix’, probably screaming for mercy and plotting their escape. All in all, we are not okay.

We think they missed a step.

This is as close as it gets.

Hello Madadgar 15, we’d like to file a report.

One-Pot Crime Scene sounds more like it.

Or chicken karma.

Can’t steal skills hairflip.

Uniting neighbours against a common enemy.

@ Green Shirts, PLEASE.

We feel this.

Thank you!

We sincerely hope you have survived reading this article unscathed — we’re not too sure about our own hearts.
