Pakistan’s celebrities are working hard to spread the word about the devastating floods that have ravaged the country and urging people to donate. From Jemima Khan to Bella Hadid, international celebrities are also not far behind. Now cricketer Shadab Khan has also taken to his social media and dedicated the team’s Asia Cup win against Hong Kong by 155 runs to people affected by the floods.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday after the match, the athlete wrote, “This victory is dedicated to all those affected by floods in Pakistan. We are playing for our people. You are all in our hearts.”

He also requested that anyone who can help must donate to the flood relief efforts across the country. “Apne logoon ki madad kerein [help your people],” he implored.

If you want to donate, here is an extensive list of organisations accepting donations and working to aid people affected by the floods.

The spinner and Mohammad Nawaz took seven wickets to bundle out Hong Kong in 10.4 overs and win by 155 runs. Khan returned figures of 4-8 from his leg spin and Nawaz took three wickets with his left-arm orthodox.

On August 28, the Pakistan cricket team donned black arm bands in solidarity with people affected by floods in the match against India. The same time The PCB also announced that it will be donating the gate proceeds from the first T20i against England to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. The match is scheduled on September 20 at the National Stadium in Karachi and will begin at 7:30pm.

Currently the team is gearing for another match against India on Sunday as the teams will face off for the second time in Asia Cup.

@ayesha do rich people need to prove they have donated.? I agree politicians should show donations? Why? Because politicians need to build trust. We do not trust our leaders. They need to build trust. All other rich people they can donate without showing

Dedicating victory will not do anything, Talk to entire team and contribute money or food or any other which victims require

Please explain what "dedicate this victory against Hong Kong to flood victims" means. If you are donating your Asia Cup match fees to the flood victims, then please say so.

Ask him/them to donate his/their match fees to the flood victims. Only dedication doesn't fill the belly!
