The Friends reunion was an emotional rollercoaster and Twitter barely got through it
The Friends reunion special is upon us and for most people who watched it, it was an emotional rollercoaster.
Hosted by James Corden and streamed on HBO Max, the reunion brought together all six of the original Friends cast — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Mathew Perry and David Schwimmer. During the show, Corden asked the six actors to imagine what their characters’ lives would be like today.
Chandler and Monica would be married, as would Ross and Rachel. Phoebe would also be married to Mike but Joey, according to LeBlanc, would probably have opened up a sandwich shop in Venice Beach.
Now most critics didn't have very good things to say about the reunion, but fans didn't share their disappointment. The reunion wasn't a last episode to the show, as earlier speculated, but was more the cast reliving old memories and allowing viewers to relive them with them.
The reunion streamed on HBO Max (which is only available in the US) and on HBO Go (which allows non-US viewers to watch content) but apparently, HBO GO crashed soon after the Friends reunion became available for streaming.
Once people were able to watch the reunion, they loved cameos from the celebrity guests.
Lady Gaga appeared for a special version of Phoebe's 'Smelly Cat'.
BTS spoke about the impact Friends had on them.
And Justin Bieber appeared in a potato costume, the same one worn by Ross on Halloween and punily called Spud-nick.
There were some revelations made about the cast, including the fact that Jennifer Anniston and David Schwimmer liked each other but never acted on it!
The cast relived their iconic lines.
And watched bloopers together.
Including one of Matt LeBlanc dislocating his shoulder during filming!
Joey finally embraced becoming older.
Most fans were jealous that they didn't get the chance to ask questions.
But overall, they were full of emotions.
The end
What did you think of the Friends reunion?
