Iqra Aziz has revealed why she married fellow actor Yasir Hussain and whatever your opinions are on her choice of partner, her reasons for choosing him are rock solid.

The couple were on the receiving end of hate and heavy criticism after publicly displaying their affection at an award show but have never backed down or been cowed. In a recent interview to BBC on his loud opinions and never biting his tongue, Hussain dismissed curbing his PDA with his wife and said there's nothing to hide because he has done nothing wrong. In fact, he advised everyone to love and respect their partners in public and private too.

The Suno Chanda star has now taken to social media to reveal the dynamics of their relationship.

"I chose to spend the rest of my life with Yasir because he always speaks the truth and does not discriminate between people,” wrote Aziz, adding that he respects everyone and gives them their due credit.

"Moreover, the most important thing is that he really knows how to respect women. After my mother and sister, there's no one who has given me more confidence than him," she went on to add, saying that such a thing was a rarity in today's day and age.

"It is a big deal that a man, your own husband, supports your work, your dreams and genuinely wants your success to reach greater heights."

The Ranjha Ranjha Kardi actor then went on to talk about how Hussain was the man of her dreams.

"To love a woman, to respect her, and to own her in front of thousands of people, make her the honour of your house, and not only fulfil her dreams but also help her and be mindful of her happiness instead of your own; not discriminating between a man and a woman or husband and wife, is every woman's dream — and my dream came true Alhamdulillah."

Many people from the industry appreciated the duo's candidness.

This isn't the first time Aziz has been expressive about her husband on social media. On their first anniversary, she penned a sweet note for her beau.

"You’re so special to me that I cannot express it in words. You’ve given me so much love and care. You’ve been my partner, my friend, my frenemy, my companion, my everything. You’ve made me see the world in a new way. You’re the positivity in my life. Keep shining and keep smiling. I love you,," she had said.
