Just because you're over the pandemic, doesn't mean it's over yet. The latest celebrity to test positive for the coronavirus is Indian actor Alia Bhatt.

The Student Of the Year star took to social media to confirm the unfortunate news, informing fans and followers that she was now observing a strict quarantine at home.

"Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19," she wrote. "I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all the safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Stay safe and take care."

Last month, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali — who was shooting for his upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi in Mumbai’s Goregaon Film City, tested positive for Covid-19.

The story of the Alia Bhatt starrer revolves on the life of Gangubai Kothewali, the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura, and is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai.

Soon after, Bhatt's real-life and on-camera companion Ranbir Kapoor also confirmed that he had tested positive for the virus. The duo will be starring in Ayan Mukerji’s action fantasy film Brahmastra which is expected to release this year.

Alia Bhatt's 2018 Hindi language spy thriller film 'Raazi' ( transl. Willing) is my most favorite movie.

Get well soon. We know your job is difficult, you can’t act with face mask on, or keep 6 ft distance from hero. Take care.
