Actor Aamir Khan is the latest in a line of Bollywood stars to test positive for Covid-19.
He joins the ranks of Amitabh Bachchan and his family, Ranbir Kapoor, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sunny Deol, among others.
Khan’s spokesperson confirmed the news, according to Times of India, and said he is quarantining at home.
“Mr Aamir Khan has tested positive for Covid-19. He is at home in self quarantine, following all the protocols and he’s doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure,” the spokesperson said.
Last week, Khan said goodbye to social media. He announced that he was deactivating all his social media accounts because he didn't really post much on them anyway.
Khan’s next film, a Bollywood remake of Robert Zemeckis’ Hollywood hit Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks, is currently under production. The film, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and is expected to be released by Christmas.
