Ik Pal from Parey Hut Love is out right in time for shaadi season

Surprise, surprise: Meera Jee steals the show yet again!
06 Jul, 2019

Parey Hut Love's first music video is out and it is as bright and colourful as we expected it to be!

'Ik Pal' has been sung by Hadiqa Kiani and Indian singer, Harshdeep Kaur while the music has been done by Azaan Sami Khan; no wonder it's a catchy one.

The song is an upbeat wedding number that will have you dancing in your seat. We bet the track is going to make its way to mehndi playlists this shaadi season!

Everything about the festive video is grand from the set to the clothes. The cast is all decked up in Umar Sayeed couture and we see the main cast members - Maya Ali, Sheheryar Munawar, Ahmed Ali Butt and Zara Noor Abbas - bust some moves and we're guessing even the choreography will be seen in future weddings to come especially that signature move (you'll know it when you see it)!

We also spotted lots of cameos. No surprises here, Meera Jee stole the show yet again.

They even gave us a glimpse of Hina Dilpazeer and Frieha Altaf with designer Yousuf Bashir Qureshi grooving to the music!

Parey Hut Love is all set to release on Eid-Ul-Azha.

This is just a light-hearted movie but the old Pakistani movies are better in that they at least seemed and felt like Pakistani.

Is this a still from Devdas with Aishwarya and Madhuri? I have never seen this at Pakistani weddings. I must not go to the right weddings then. Dont worry. I am not concerned about you copying bollywood. Just be honest about it. Most of us cant relate. We still have gender segregation in our family events. Wearing sleeveless or being without dubatta is still a no-no.

@Shoaib Manzoor traditions changes with time and it may not look right to one segment of the society, but may be OK for other segments. We should not try to impose our “traditions” with force or violence on others

@Shoaib Manzoor : What is your tradition? Why not go back to centuries old traditions, no cars, no doctors, no electricity no gas and so on. Find unani healers, carts and tel diya. Take changes as you are in 20th century. Noibody forced you to watch this video.

@mmmm True but is he forcing his traditions onto you or me? Culture, traditions change with time generation after generation. Its unavoidable. In our case however usually there is such hate for India from many but the same crowd seem OK with us copying bollywood frame by frame. Even if something is entertainment it should be somewhat relatable, no? This just looks like a second class version of a bollywood movie. The costumes, song and dancing etc. Why can't we make our own? I can't relate..

@N abidai What do you mean herbage range? She is about 40 not 80. Besides there is no "age range" for living or celebrating life or even acting in movies, singing and dancing. You are as young as you feel in your heart. Maybe yoy can stop this ageism and discrimination of senior female artists and just enjoy or find another movie more to your liking? I dont watch her but think it's great she is active in her field. More power to her.

@ahmed I dint know but I am pretty sure our traditions aren't a second class bollywood imitations. Tell me have you ever in yiurv life attended a wedding or function of this sort? Most of us are not from the elite or upper classes but we make up majority of the population. I just think we should have our own traditions and rasms and movie industry instead of always imitating India. That's my view. Not forcing it on you. Just saying.

Many commentators believe this to be Pakistani transition. Can eithryof you kindky point me to a wedding, Eid event anywhere in Pakistan where this scene, costumes exposing your belly very similar to Indians, dancing and singing and gender mixing. If it is a Pakistani tradition then it must be common..

@Laila Really Laila... We have all seen choreographed dance at weddings. I am a 90s child from Quetta and even my khalas used to dance a choreographed song back in the 90s. All our wedding videos are filled with family dances. I don't know what are you speaking of, but the Pakistan I am from has dance.

@Laila We all think whatever part of society we are from makes up entire Pakistan. That is not true. When we were kids we had mamis and chachis wearing sleeveless, no hijab nothing. And then we also had family friends who wore hijab and did purdah. We have very liberal people, we have moderate people and we have very conservative as well. The entire spectrum exists in Pakistan. Let's not impose our bubbles of society as an absolute occurrence of Pakistani society.

Romance ..wedding..dancing...crazy colors..repetitious.boring dance sequence. If you didn't know better you cannot understand that Pakistan is going under the most severe financial crisis, but the people are celebrating in lavish weddings .running up their debt it show a very wicked side that's not the lifestyle of average Pakistani. Shame on actors besides being limited in their acting skills they promote these worthless films and help push the Pakistani film Industry into a downward spiral !

Look at the stage of the downfall of Pakistani film industry. The highlight is a gaudy wedding dance with many dance steps copied from Bollywood B grade films. Every film is about cheesy romance with overacting actors in cameo roles?

so many comments on copying dancing moves from here n there, lacking originality and all that. these are the common dancing steps in this region n perhaps beyond as well. where n how else the dance can be planned. the commentators should give idea as to how then the dance should be performed.

Learn to appreciate the new and fresh. Look where Pakistan is because a certain mullaish mind set wanted it to live in the traditional past. Movies are aspirational and illusionary mostly everywhere in the world. Just enjoy the fresh new feeling.
