Mohsin Abbas Haider thanked his friends and fans for reaching out to him during his battle with depression.

The actor posted a video on Instagram Tuesday night with caption #LoveAndPeaceIsAllWeNeed. P.S. get rid of all those Toxic People in your life. The video has now been deleted.

He shared that he is doing better after having opened up, "Thanks to all of you for all those messages and love and support and concern you showed about depression. We all go through it. We all suffer in some way or the other in our lives. Sometimes we talk about it -- I did and it helped me a lot.

"I’m not someone who shares his personal life a lot but I guess when you reach the end you share and that’s what I did. And the way people in the industry, my fellow actors and friends and people from all over the world messaged me, I feel we shouldn’t hide this, it helps [to talk about it] and we should talk about it."

I'm glad that Mohsin, a celebrity, is openly talking about his fight with depression. So many of us go through it every day. It's not easy to get rid of the toxic people in your life, specially if they are your parents and siblings. But it really helps to talk to friends or even unknowns and vent your frustration and sadness instead of bearing it all alone.

Once when I was extremely depressed and alone, I watched discussions on depression by Stephen Fry and Oprah Winfrey on YouTube. I don't why but listening to the problems that these famous personalities go through helped me realize that I was not alone and that I can make it to the other end. It helped me come out of my depression.

here is one thing we ignore about mental illnesses is that these are experiences: we all experience them differently and people and circumstances surrounding are different. then people expectations about do this and do that. I from my experience I hate people telling me have faith and speaking empty words like "all be fine dont worry" etc at the time I am sinking. a celebrity can sure attract a lot of sympathies but they are not of much help. this is the reason people dont to talk others that uttering of fake words of hope does not help

U have actually paved a way for the people who secretly facing this devastating situation and are afraid to share it, they will now realize how it would relieve them by sharing their condition with their friends. Most of us ignore the destructive outcomes of depression and ignore the ways of countering it. Wish u all the best man and keep rocking alrounder..

Seems like a publicity stunt. From his antics on TV he does not look depressed.

@Zara Stephen Fry helped me too. It's always helpful to write about it in journal or seek a creative expression to let it out
