This Eid SOC Films is sending out an important message about inter-faith harmony.

As part of its new mini-series Stories for Children, the production house's latest short features the story of town Khalsabad, where the Christian community was attacked in 2009. The episode is based on real life events following the attack.

Khalsabad: a story of humanity, unity and co-existence is told through the eyes of a young Muslim boy whose best friend is a Christian. It shows the strong ties within the Christian and Muslim communities in the town and how they didn't let an act of terrorism break that.

SOC's project Stories for Children focuses on the people of Pakistan who deserve recognition for their work. The mini-series debuted with a short on Edhi and also features shorts on Kulsoom Hazara and Aitzaz Hasan.

A touching story with a powerful message, and very well done. Sharmeen really deserves credit for this. Unity and co-existence for a peaceful and prosperous society. This should reach as wide an audience as possible.
