J.K. Rowling gives a shout-out to doting fan from Kashmir
No matter how old you are, your celebrity icon of choice reaching out to you on social media is as exciting as it gets.
This week, author J.K. Rowling made Kulsum's day, a 12-year-old girl from Jammu and Kashmir's non-profit school, Doda. As part of her assignment, Kulsum had written that she was inspired by Rowling not just because of her writing but also how she found the strength to persevere, even in the face of hardships.

She also asked God to give Rowling a long life so that she could meet her one day when she grows up.
The assignment was tweeted out by Kulsum's teacher and then by the director of her school and Rowling ended up replying to the director Sabbah Haji's tweet asking for Kulsum's full name so that she could send her something.
Kulsum's teacher later tweeted a video of her precious reaction:
In 2016, JK Rowling had gifted a 7-year-old girl in Syria signed copies of her famous Harry Potter books. Bet Kulsum also has some cool goodies coming her way!
