Never said I wanted to work in Pakistani films: Paresh Rawal

Also, he said that Indian shows aren't boring, they're just "a little slow"

Don't get excited about Paresh Rawal's Pakistani film debut yet.

The Bollywood actor has spoken up about his recently viral statement, in which he expressed his desire to work in Pakistani films and TV and called Indian TV dramas "boring". He's saying he's been misquoted.

According to Bombay Times, he's said, "I never said I want to work in Pakistani films, neither it is my wish. I want to categorically state this. I have been misquoted."

He went on to add, "I just said that I liked Pakistan's TV serial Humsafar, but never said ours are boring. I only said ours are a little slow."

Oops, looks like Rawal must be feeling the heat of the backlash! We wonder whether he was really misquoted or is being forced to eat his words?

Obviously statement is mis quoted. if he likes some thing it's doesn't mean he wants to do that thing and also vice versa.

@Aamer - let us stay correct that public give these actors high praise but if you really think these people usually come from a poor background and families. Raised with hatred values he is no different.

@Fair opinions Paresh rawal charges 1.5 crores per movie which is equivalent to 2.5 crore pakistani rupee, pakistans entire movie budget is 1 crore pakisani rupee, pakistan cannot afford such a steep price.

He ate his words just like others had to. Just can't praise Pakistan in that intolerant country where making self serving statements and being hyper patriotic is the only answer.

Paresh Rawal is a good actor, but as Karan Johar once said, seems like everyone has an unseen gun pointed to their heads in India to be nationalist and speak against Pakistan. What a sad state of affairs for these artists that they can't even speak their hearts out to the media.
