No one has the right to comment on what kind of mother I am: Kareena Kapoor

Kareena's comments come after Mira Rajput's criticism of working mothers went viral... in a bad way
Updated 16 Aug, 2017

All eyes are on Kareena Kapoor as she juggles career and motherhood — and doesn't she know it.

After having her son Taimur in December, Kareena was back fulfilling her professional commitments the very next month. While some may have praised her balancing act, many criticised the actor for neglecting her child.

In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Kareena addressed the criticism.

"What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur. There’s always the pressure of being judged, no matter what you do. It’s about how you deal with it," said Kareena.

She added: "Yes, I was on my feet a few days after the delivery, but it’s upsetting to have people judge you for it. No one has the right to comment on how I conduct myself or what sort of a mother I am. Everyone seems to have an opinion. Postpartum depression is not a must, right? It’s whimsical to generalise that every woman goes through that phase, almost making it sound like a norm. Every pregnancy and every mother’s journey with her child during those nine months and afterwards is different.”

Her perspective sharply contrasts with recent comments made by another Bollywood mom Mira Rajput.

In March, Mira Rajput had quite blatantly bashed working mothers.

"I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work," she said. "Why did I have her? Misha is not a puppy. I want to be there for her. Seeing her grow can’t be quantified," she said.

Some even interpreted Mira's statement as an indirect dig at Kareena. Guess Kareena's given her and any other critic a befitting response!

Interpretation of statement by Mira Rajput is taken wrongly by Kareena. There should be no war of words between them.

Nothing looks better than a portrait of mother and baby. Best wishes for Kareena and her wonderful baby.

Ah the Kapoors! The family is so filmy they would happily give birth on the set! When you are a Kapoor it is easy to blur the lines between film and reality.

Kareena Kapoor is right, nobody has right to interfere in other people's personal matters, how they run their own life its their business.
