Have you taken the Mannequin Challenge yet?

For the uninitiated, the Mannequin Challenge is a viral trend on social media, where whole groups of people stand frozen in time — like mannequins — in all sorts of positions, while a video camera floats through their environment and captures their stillness. At times, the video is filmed with American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd's 'Black Beatles' playing in the background.

The best videos are those where participants take up interesting and challenging positions, and still manage to keep totally still!

Though the mannequin challenge was, um, born in Florida, USA, virality being virality the trend soon made its way to Pakistan.

Everyone, from university kids to zumba practitioners to celebs like Waqar Zaka have given it a try, but the question is — who did it best?

Here are some of the top attempts to come out of Pakistan:

Psst... give the videos a few seconds to load!

1) Subway

Okay, just how is that guy pulling off that drink spill?!

2) Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture

Here's hoping the sand wasn't too hot!

3) Karachi United Women's Division

Darn, these women have some stamina!

4) Ethnic by Outfitters

Who ever thought sales could test your upper arm strength?

Reminds me something we used to play [in India] when we were children [in the 1970s] ... we called it "statue"

The Indus valley effort is really commendable.... in sheer sunlight with running water and gusting winds and the camera person moving in between groups is really nice......

As usual, another sign of a defeated nation that can only imitate others and has nothing to offer anything new to the world!

@Ahsan Bro...why so pessimistic! Lets praise the efforts. Imitating fun stuff/good stuff of any nation is not that bad after all!
