Imran Khan jokes he might be "third time lucky" in marriage
Is PTI chairman Imran Khan alluding to a third marriage? Well, he certainly knows how to joke about one.
At a family friend's daughter's wedding ceremony in London, Imran Khan took to the stage to congratulate the newly weds and on the topic of his marriage he hopes he "may be third time lucky."
He joked about his previous marriages -- to Jemima Goldsmith in 1995 and Reham Khan in 2015 -- and said that he can't give the couple the best advice about marriage given his history, but he wished them all the best anyway.
Taking another jab at himself he said he hopes their marriage is more successful than his.
The crowd greeted his joke with hoots and cheers during his speech.
Considering Imran Khan's first marriage to British-born Jemima, who converted to Islam soon after they tied the knot, the PTI chairman expanded on the marriage of the couple - the husband converted to Islam for the wife - and said, "Islam isn't restricted to race through relations it's about humanity."
Present at the wedding was Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, who shared a table with the Pakistani politician.
IK's third marriage has been the speculation for sometime now, earlier rumours had surfaced of him tying the knot in London in a sneaky ceremony, however, they proved to be false.
