Though men tend to encourage one another when it comes to growing some facial scruff, us ladies tend to be a little more critical. Either way, one thing's for sure: this beard trend isn't going anywhere.

It's almost accepted as fact that growing a beard makes a guy look ten times more attractive. We look back at our favourite Pakistani male celebs to put that theory to the test!

Here's some beard inspiration for all the men out there still confused about whether they should keep it, trim it or shave it:

1) Fawad Khan

Khan has a strong jawline, one that is only further accentuated by a short, trimmed beard.

Beards have conferred prestige from the beginning of time; no wonder Khan was sporting one for his royal role in Khoobsurat

2) Hamza Ali Abbasi

Much like his personality, his beard is a little wild and out of control, but he makes it work without looking too unkempt!

We wonder if we'd still swoon over him, if he ditched that scruff

3) Faysal Qureshi

If there's a beard that's caused a commotion, it's Faysal Qureshi's ominous full-face in Bashar Momin. Nabila paired it with Beckham's fade haircut, and it took off!

This look sparked off a wave of imitators

4) Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui

The budding actor went from boy-like to manly real fast once he grew his facial mane!

5) Ali Xeeshan

With his penchant for theatrics, Ali Zeeshan makes sure that he looks no less than a magician and his grizzled beard plays a big part in that!

6) Abbas Jaffery & Hasnain Lehri

Lehri joins the ranks of Abbas Jaffery, as one of our hottest bearded male models! His facial scruff game is strong -- and he knows it!

But we have to tip our hats to the original man; no one quite leads the pack like him:

7) Atif Aslam

Over the years, the singer has experimented with his style but we think he looks best with a tame, slightly bushy beard.

The rough, just-woke-up look works for Atif

8) Danish Taimoor

A little more manicured than we'd prefer, Taimoor's facial hair styling works nonetheless; he pulls off a manly beard while still retaining his boy-next-door charm!

Look at those sharp lines

9) Hassan Sheheryar Yasin

HSY has always been a trendsetter, so it's no surprise that he's made an appearance on this list too. What he lacks in hair on the scalp, he makes up for it with his beard!

Just messy enough to look like he's too cool to care

10) Ayub Khoso & YBQ

Beard buddies Ayub Khoso and YBQ have been sporting similar styles of facial hair for a while now, and it's become part of their signature look.

Clearly, a little bit of facial hair goes a long way!

Pakistani men are much more attractive, good looking and fairer than any other Asian males stars esp. far more better then Indians. And I don’t think there is any Pakistani male actor who is not keeping facial hairs. They all follow single track, they don’t have their own style. I guess with time and exposure they will get matured.

@KaKa Cant' you people digest without mentioning India. Comparing to India and Indians, it really gives you guys easily that you people are obsessed with everything that is India and Indians. Live your life, dont compare it with others.

Beard trend is so cool, and it is in fashion since quite long - may be more than 5 years now, if I remember correctly - and it keeps on sharpening a bit with the new trends and fashion - which is simply superb!! let it roll a bit more..

@MK ; Come on!!! You just didn't like the fact Kaka called Pakistani men better looking than Indians! As for your comment regarding Pakistani obsession with India....... I don't think so!!! If there was such obsession then we would not have created Pakistan!!!
