With the flood death toll hitting 937 and still on the rise, the government of Pakistan has declared the monsoon rain-induced floods a “climate-inducted humanitarian crisis of epic proportions”. Leaving 30 million people shelter-less, the floods have caused tremendous damage.

Actor Ahsan Khan shared a video of a child affected by the floods, expressing his distress with the current situation. He shared the death toll and damage statistics and said, “Let’s help them together!”

Cricketer Shaheen Afridi requested all citizens to help and donate as much as possible. “Let us come out of this as a nation,” he said.

Actor Ayesha Omar reposted a video depicting the damage caused by the floods, calling it traumatising. She urged netizens to unite, “All we have is each other. We have to fend for ourselves and each other. We must do EVERYTHING within our means to help our people. Climate change is REAL. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. The time is NOW. HELP HELP HELP AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.”
