Internet personality Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has threatened legal action against television host Mathira days after she revealed she was very uncomfortable during an interaction with him.

Khan recently appeared on Mathira’s talk show The 21mm Show, and posted a video to his Instagram where he was moving closer to the host while singing his popular song ‘Bado Badi’ as she kept moving away. Khan also gave her a one-armed hug and held her arm repeatedly, despite her nervous laughter.

In a video titled “Mathira breaks silence on harassment by Chahat Fateh Ali Khan”, she spoke about the incident and said that while she believed guests should be respected, the occurrence was very bad. Mathira added that the video was recorded from the back, which wasn’t allowed on her set.

“Me, being a woman, yes, I was very uncomfortable because I don’t do this, I don’t hug people,” she stated.

Khan responded in a video posted to his Instagram, stating that Mathira was speaking out against him when in “reality” she pleaded for months that he appear on her show because it wasn’t doing well.

“During the interview, she asked how long it takes to complete the shoot for a song because I’ve released 52 songs and I told her I would show her after the show.

“When the show ended, during the photo session, my video shows that she came to me and put her arm around my waist. I straightened her and said pictures were taken facing the front.”

He said the second video showed him demonstrating how his music videos were recorded and that Mathira “enjoyed it, laughed and couldn’t stop laughing.”

Khan claimed that after the show was a hit and everything had happened, the host was accusing him of harassment, “which is a big accusation”.

“I have spoken to my lawyers and will meet with another solicitor. I will take you to court. I did not harass you,” he maintained.

He said Mathira was a respected senior artist, and despite her asking a plethora of questions on the show, he did not answer and kept laughing so the show could get coverage.

“Later you made claims of harassment. This is injustice.”

Khan alleged that the second ‘lie’ was that a team went with him to the show and recorded the video Mathira spoke about. He said he always went to television shows by himself.

“Your own worker, one of the cameramen, recorded the video and I got it from them. Everyone was filming. That someone was with me and recording a video secretly is a huge lie and allegation.”

Mathira has not responded to his statement.

Our nation is a bit strange that they go on watching this imposter. Ok, he could have been funny when he came on screen the very first time but to go on and giving him this importance for nothing is disgusting.

This is what the showbiz is about lately, 'rating and rating only'. positive or negative, classy or junk matters least in the current era of extreme commercialism. Very difficult to control the quality now, as what ever content is released viewers do view and this in return provide a rating to the content creator. regardless it is objected later. this is merely my understanding and could be wrong...

No need of any legal action, it’s just happened and who to blame for it? Both sides are from social media platforms and just forget it and move on.
