Yumna Zaidi has been serving one stunning look after the other while promoting her upcoming movie Nayab.

After a closer inspection, we learned that all of her outfits are by local designers and are easily attainable for other women — which we adore.

Speaking to Images, Hafsa Farooq, Zaidi’s stylist for the promotions, stated that “all” the clothes were “local and worn and styled with great pride”.

“It was a conscious decision to go with all local brands and designers, and we collectively decided to take this route and we are very happy we did so,” she continued.

Farooq said that the “public resonates with her [Zaidi] in such a manner that they think they own a bit of her, so while she wore some of the biggest designers in Pakistan, she also wore a very brand that any girl can attain outfits from,” adding that Zaidi was a “lovely girl next door”. The brand in question is, of course, Lama.

5. A chocolate dream

In fifth place, we have this brown monochromatic moment. The contrasting fabrics really give some dimension to the look, while the coat draped over her shoulders and not fully worn adds to the chicness of the outfit without taking away from the dress.

The Nayab necklace was a cute touch, but we would have preferred if the metals on her hoop earrings and necklace matched.

It seems like menswear brand Tayyab Abbo created a bespoke blazer for Zaidi because they are tagged on her post, however, we were unable to find this specific piece on their website.

We give this look a 7.5/10.

4. Florals and pastels

At number four is this dreamy pastel number by Mohsin Naveed Ranjha. The gharara pants, kurta and dupatta are all in soft pinks and whites, with flowers in a darker print scattered across the dupatta and pants. The pearls on her earrings matching the pearls stitched on the kurta are a gorgeous touch.

Perhaps the best thing about this look is her hair twisted into a low bun with curls tumbling out on either side. The softness of her makeup and hair enhances the femninity of the look.

We give this look an 8.5/10.

3. Desi fairytale fantasy

At number three is the elegant white and gold anarkali frock from Zaheer Abbas. The gold work is focused on the top half of the dress as well as along the edges of the sleeves and the dupatta.

We love the minimalism of this look, which is emphasised by the dainty jewellery and a small stack of red glass bangles peeking out through the sleeves. The yellow chappal add a lovely pop of colour to the whole ensemble.

We give this look an 8.5/10.

2. Girlboss realness

In second place is this stunning blazer and pant set by Sania Maskatiya. The look is completed with a silk shirt encrusted with rhinestones and tucked into flared pants.

We love the silver work on the jacket’s shoulders and sleeves, which is a refreshing change of pace from the usual gold designers opt for. The sultry makeup and glowing skin perfectly complement the vibe of the outfit.

We give this look a 9/10.

1. Velvety vibes

In the first place is the ICONIC pink velvet blazer that people are still talking about. We were shocked to find out that this is from Lama Retail and not a foreign brand. The suit has Instagram abuzz as Ushna Shah posted pictures in the same suit a day before Zaidi did, and even Syra Yusuf wanted to get her hands on it. More recently, Zhalay Sarhadi was also spotted wearing the same blazer. While everyone loves it, we think it looks incredible on Zaidi.

The whole look was bettered by her dangly golden earrings and her makeup, which featured glowy pink blush and a frosted pink lip. We LOVE this look.

We simply had to ask Farooq, the mastermind behind this look, to comment on it and she said, “Pink is Yumna’s colour”.

She added that the outfit was one that “adds a little swag to your attitude” and she was “glad that it was received with so much love”.

“It’s these little wins for us that keep us going and aiming to do better,” she said.

We give this look a 10/10.
