British-Pakistani director Asim Abbasi shared the poster of his upcoming British Muslim comedy, Count Abdulla for ITVX starring The Bay star Arian Nik, Jaime Winstone and Nina Wadia.

The series is a six-part horror comedy that follows Abdulla Khan (Nik), who is a Muslim doctor in his mid-20s with an identity crisis as he’s caught between his religious mother and his secular, hedonistic friends. He’s then bitten by vampire Winstone and their comedy adventure begins.

Abbasi last directed the series Churails for Zee5 and rose to fame with the movie Cake in 2018. He is also the director of the much-anticipated series, Barzakh, starring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed.

Count Abdulla has been written by Kaamil Shah and produced by Hussain Casey Ahmed and Fudge Park Productions with Phil Gilbert as the executive producer. The series is set to release on June 15.
