When your favourite team is losing but their performance is so viciously good, you can’t really complain. Such was the outcome of the Quetta Gladiators versus Peshawar Zalmi match when pacer Mohammad Hasnain took to the field with his fiery bowling. The game got even more dangerous for Zalmi when Hasnain was accompanied by Naseem Shah.
In the ninth PSL match on Monday, the Gladiators managed to set a competitive target of 155 against Zalmi. But after Hasnain struck twice on consecutive balls to cancel out Mohammad Haris’ early onslaught, Peshawar ensured they never stopped attacking. They won by four wickets with nine balls left yet all fans are concerned with are Hasnain’s bowling, his partnership with Shah and his overall performance.
Even the team knows that he has outdone himself.
The player showed appreciation for his “bowling partner” as well.
Hasnain out here getting everyone else out of here.
Netizens see the duo’s combined power as a “good omen for Pakistani cricket” and some think they deserve a better team.
All that matters is he tried his best.
