God never separates two good people until one of them is a hypocrite, says Sana Fakhar on her separation
Actor Sana Fakhar announced her separation from her husband Fakhar Jaffri after 14 years of marriage in October. Posting it on her Instagram, she did not give a detailed reason for their separation. She did, however, say that while breaking up hurt, holding on was doing more damage. Responding to curious and concerned fans, she finally opened up a little to say that one of them was not being true to themselves.
Appearing on Nadir Ali Podcast, the Qayamat actor said, “First, let’s clear this up, [my caption was] ‘Break ups hurt’, so there’s clarity because right next to it is its answer too. Sometimes a person has to end relationships because if the relationship doesn’t end, then a lot of other things break and you have to spend your life with that break. This is why it becomes important to separate some things. This was the status, other than that, everyone has a different destiny, we’re all God’s people and He never separates two good people until one of them is a hypocrite.”
She explained that hypocrisy is not necessarily a “bad thing”, saying “it just means you’re not being who you are”. Fakhar said that “when you live truly, you see truly”.
The Alif Allah Aur Insaan actor felt like she could not talk about the topic more than she already has. “It’s too upsetting, it can be said that it is too personal but I am a public figure and a public person. People want to know, they also want to be entertained sometimes and we do keep entertaining them — that is our job. But since this is not part of entertainment, I can’t entertain that much. Why it has happened is because it was difficult to break so much, I have saved so much.”
Last year, Fakhar posted about the end of her marriage on Instagram. “Breakups hurt but sometimes, breaking a relationship is so mandatory to save yourself [from] break[ing] so much. With all [due] respect, me and Fakhar, after several years of marriage through highs and lows, [have] decided to take separate paths. It’s heartbreaking but… I strongly believe that God has better plans for both of us. All the best Fakhar Jaffri,” she wrote.
Fakhar and Jaffri tied the knot in 2008 and have two sons together. The actor said their children are living with her.
