Jemima Khan's What's Love Got to Do With It?, which stars Sajal Aly, finally has a release date! The movie is going to release in cinemas on January 27, 2023, Studio Canal announced on Twitter.

The movie stars Lily James, Shazad Latif, Emma Thompson, Shabana Azmi, Aly, Mim Shaikh and Asim Chaudhry and has been written by Khan. The film has been directed by Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.

The first look of the film, released in December, promised a cross-cultural British rom-com. The film follows a filmmaker Zoe (James) and juxtaposes her journey to love (swiping on dating apps and bad dates) with that of her close friend Kazim's (Latif) who decides to opt for an arranged marriage. She records his journey from London to Lahore as he sets off to marry a stranger and starts questioning her own ideas of love.

The soundtrack for the film features British-Pakistani record producer and musician Naughty Boy of 'Lalala' fame and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, a maestro of qawaali, has also recorded two songs and will appear in the film.

Shaikh and Aly shared the exciting news with their fans on social media.

Are you excited for the movie?
