Ever since his announcement, many people have taken to Twitter to discuss the sudden price hike but most importantly, to share their memes.

It became inevitable for the incumbent government to continue to give subsidy on petrol prices which was announced by the then PM Imran Khan by saying that his govt. was able to collect adequate of amount of money through collection of taxes and that is why he had announced subsidy on petrol and electricity tariff, though the actual story is that Imran Khan knew that he won't be staying in the govt. much longer and allowed subsidy to create financial crises for the next govt. of PDM to face. The subsidy continued for two months but after the negotiations between the IMF and incumbent govt. failed, there was no other option left for the present govt. to increase petrol prices and will also withdraw subsidy from electricity tariff to get the required payment released from IMF in order to save the country from default. People having been facing exorbitant inflation during the tenure of Imran Khan's govt. and will also have to bear the inflation in the best interest of the country.
