'We’re so blessed': Nick Jonas opens up about fatherhood and his daughter
New parents Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are embracing parenthood, proudly and happily.
The Jonas Brothers singer appeared on The Today Show on Monday where he reflected on fatherhood and told the hosts, Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly, that "life is beautiful".
The singer along with Shakira appeared on the show where he touched upon the subject of parenting and that him and Chopra are "blessed" to have their daughter in their arms. "She’s a gift and we’re just so blessed," he told the hosts while promoting his and Shakira's upcoming show called Dancing with Myself.
The new father, however, did not share more details about his baby girl.
He did point out that all three Jonas brothers, Kevin and Joe Jonas, are now parents and have daughters. "The Jonas family keeps growing. [There are] a lot of girls. My parents are thrilled, grandparents of now four beautiful granddaughters," the 'Chains' singer said.
The older Jonas, Kevin has two daughters — Alena and Valentina — with wife Danielle Jonas, Joe and his wife, Sophie Turner welcomed their daughter in 2020 and they are preparing to welcome their second baby.
The new parents welcomed their baby girl on January 15 via surrogacy and introduced their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas to the world on Mother’s Day, as they shared their first family picture on their social media accounts.
"Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is,” they had said.
The couple had also shared that their daughter had been in the NICU for 100 days and was finally home. They also thanked the doctors, nurse and specialist that took care of their daughter at the hospital. "Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a bad*ss. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you."
