Netflix hit show You officially begins production for season 4
Your favourite stalker is making a comeback — season 4 of Netflix hit show You has officially begun production.
While the plot for the fourth season is still under wraps, we're assuming the 'creepy factor' will only go up, just like it did in the previous seasons. Actor Penn Badgley plays the lead character Joe Goldberg and in his journey to find love, he gets rid of anything (or anyone) that stands in his way — quite literally.
"You season 4 is now in production," the show's official Instagram page announced on March 23.
Netflix renewed the fan favourite show for season 4 in October 2021, even before the third season was released. The series is based on Caroline Kepnes' novels You and Hidden Bodies and has been directed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble.
"It's been thrilling to watch Penn bring Joe to creepy yet compelling life," show runner Gamble said in a statement last year. "We're deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such monumental support and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past three seasons."
"The whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of love in season 4," Gamble added.
While the plot for season 4 is still in the works, in February, Netflix announced that Euphoria and The White Lotus star Lukas Gage will be joining the cast of the fourth season. "Lukas Gage is coming for You," Netflix teased, adding a photo of Gage and Badgley.
They also revealed that Gage will play Adam, "the warm, funny and hard-partying son of a wealthy family" who's known for failing to meet their standards. The company added a sinister statement that matches the energy of the show very well. "But the one thing he did learn from his parents is to do whatever it takes to get what you want."
