Hania Aamir or Gangubai? Netizens spot 'Pakistani Alia Bhatt' during Parde Mein Rehne Do promotions

Aamir's outfit during the promotion of a song from her upcoming film looked rather familiar.

Everyone takes style inspiration from somewhere and after seeing pictures and videos of Hania Aamir's look at the recent promotions of her upcoming movie Parde Mein Rehne Do, netizens are convinced she takes inspiration from Bollywood star Alia Bhatt.

Netizens spotted 'Gangubai' atop a truck in Karachi on Sunday evening but it turned out to be Aamir promoting 'Peela Rung', the new song from her upcoming film.

From the sleek bun with flowers tucked in it to the white, low-backed outfit, the similarities were rather obvious. The addition of jhumkay and shades also heightened the resemblance and the light, dewy makeup was another plus.

Aamir and costar Ali Rehman were among a number of people spotted atop a truck headed from Clifton towards Lucky One Mall in Karachi where they danced to the song they're promoting. Netizens think not only did the Sang-e-Maah actor "copy" Bhatt's look but the promotional style was also similar.

Social media users can't understand why she'd "copy" another star's style. Some are even calling her "Pakistani Alia Bhatt".

The similarity was so strong for netizens, they thought it was Bhatt.

Some weren't okay with the "inspiration".

While others appreciated the outfit.

People need to understand that it's okay to take inspiration from others when it comes to style. Isn't all style technically "copying" since that's how the fashion industry works? There is nothing wrong with adopting a look that someone else wore that appealed to you. The only thing wrong in the scenario would be taking credit for it. So live and let live, let people do and wear what makes them happy — it's not a big deal.

Kharboze ko dekh kar Kharboza rang pakarta hai, per Hania tu anar hai.

When pakistani designers copy indian designs then no one has issue, but because a pak lady is doing this copy, everyone is hurt. Most of the celebrities, designers in this continent take hints from western designs. So people need to calm down.

They only have cheek dimple in common. Otherwise, Hania beats Allia, hands down in beauty and looks.

They can copy the looks that is easy. However, is the movie as entertaining and good as Gangubai, which I saw in theaters and was very good. Alia Bhatt shines in the show and gives an exceptional performance.

They do not look the same from any angle but they are both pretty in their own way for sure. However, the promoters did a good job in promoting the idea that they look the same and now the only way to find out is by seeing the movie. Good selling technique…

She has a much softer back than that of Aliya. But both are of new use.
