Asim Azhar fans, rejoice! Your favourite singer has finally released the music video for song 'Kabhi Mai Kabhi Tum' — the "first single" from his upcoming debut album.

The song was released on February 28 on One Music Network's YouTube channel. The video stars Fahad Mustafa, a fierce boxer and lover at heart, and Saba Qamar, a sweet-natured artist who is visually impaired. The video depicts the love story between these two, a story marked by the love-fuelled sacrifice Mustafa makes for Qamar's character. The video has been directed by Bilawal Hussain Abbassi and produced by Malkani Films.

The music video starts off with a message in the beginning. "Based on a heart touching story. Inspired by [the] true essence of love which has been adapted in different parts of the world. Here's our version. P.S. We love K-drama," it reads. The MV seems to be based on Korean movie Always.

Azhar posted about the video's release on Instagram as well, and he was clearly over the moon.

The singer — who has hit singles such as 'Ghalat Fehmi' and 'Humraah' under his belt — announced the release of 'Kabhi Mai Kabhi Tum' in December, talking about the "hard work, blood and sweat" he and his team have put into the project. The singer excitedly counted down to release day weeks ahead on social media on the regular. He shared the poster for the upcoming music video on February 16.

He also shared a behind the scenes photo of Mustafa and Qamar from the set five days before the release.

The man could barely contain his joy a few hours before the MV officially made its way into the world.

What are your thoughts on Azhar's latest song?

Hard working singer, I want to see him singing in Bollywood, that market is a test for these kind of singers. He is no Mehdi Hassan or Rahat Fateh Ali.
