Ever heard of someone scamming multiple women in order to maintain their luxurious lifestyle? Well Netflix just made a documentary on someone who did just that. The documentary, The Tinder Swindler, focused on a man named Simon Leviev or Shimon Hayut and showed how at least three women fell for his trap when they swiped right on dating application Tinder.

In what almost seemed like a movie, Simon claimed to be the son of Lev Leviev, an Israeli billionaire known as the "King of Diamonds" for his company LLD Diamonds. In the documentary, he manipulated women with his supposed wealth and lured them in by rolling out a Rolls Royce or private jet on the first date.

But Simon is going to have to look for other places for new victims, because Tinder has banned him. On Feb 5, a Tinder spokesperson told E! News, "We banned Simon Leviev and any of his known aliases as soon as the story of his actions became public in 2019. He is permanently banned from Tinder. In the lead up to the release of the documentary, we conducted additional internal investigations and can confirm Simon Leviev is not active on Tinder under any of his known aliases."

The documentary released a week ago on Feb 2 and featured multiple interviews of the victims who fell prey to Simon's Ponzi scheme. He would date a woman, earn her trust by showing his "luxurious" lifestyle and then borrow money from them, urging them to give him their credit cards and increase spending limits. He would use their money to impress women in another European country.

The three victims that came forward in the documentary are Cecilie Schrøder Fjellhøy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte. According to them, Simon defrauded them out of $250,000, $33,000 and $139,000 respectively. They have created a GoFundMe page to raise the £600,000 ($811,206) he stole from them.

This wasn't Simon's first attempt to lure women. According to an Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the conman was previously convicted of scamming three Finnish women and served three years in jail. After his bail in 2017, Simon fled Israel.

Simon was deported to Israel and is now free after serving five months of jail time. According to the documentary, he is currently living a lavish lifestyle in his home country and dating Israeli model Kate Konlin.

Simon had claimed on his now deactivated Instagram account that in the coming days he would share his side of the story as he has "sorted out the best and most respectful way to tell it, both to the involved parties" and to himself.
