If you're someone who likes to spend their nights paralysed with fear, making sleep impossible and bathroom trips a great feat, you're in for a treat because Imran Raza Kazmi is releasing an anthology television series with horror and thriller as the main genres.

Kazmi told Images that they're shooting "a drama series" that will have around 25 stories "and since it's an anthology series, every episode will have a different storyline and different actors, some of them are double episoders, some of them triple episoders and some single episoders.

"I think for the first time ever in any industry this is happening; anthology series are usually five to six episodes, even if you check out Netflix, take Lust Stories as an example, there are different seasons, [and maybe] six different stories," he added.

The Siyaah series is going to feature an array of actors including Adnan Siddiqui, Hareem Farooq, Arslan Naseer, Mariyam Nafees and Ali Ansari. IRK Films shared a character poster of the actors who are done shooting for the series and are a part of it.

"Siyaah series is a version of my first film Siyaah and the name [which means black] indicates it will move towards dark stories. It will have different genres; crime thrillers, horror comedy and psychological thrillers."

Kazmi told Images that they created a writer’s lounge a while ago and now have four writers in-house and two freelance. These six writers work on a story together, meaning multiple writers have penned down the stories that will be featured in the series.

"Sabeeh Ahmad has directed most of the episodes — around 20 to 21 of them and around six episodes have followed Zeeshan Ilyas's directing who's also one of our writers." Kazmi also revealed that "this isn’t confirmed but I am 99.9% sure Osman Khalid Butt is writing two stories for the series and will direct them as well."

The Siyaah series is going to air on a new entertainment channel that’s coming up called Green TV. Kazmi said it looks like a "strong channel" since Anjum Shahzad, Shahzad Kashmiri and Farooq Rind are working for them. "Mehreen Jabbar is working for them, Sarmad [Khoosat] has done a project and Adnan Sarwar has done one too so hopefully they’ll come with the bank."

Kazmi believes Adnan Siddiqui agreeing to star in the anthology speaks for its credibility since he's appearing on TV after three years. "It indicates we've a good script which is why he’s said yes."
