Many players such as captain Azam, Hassan Ali and Khan updated fans about their departure on their personal social media accounts.

Ali gave us a behind-the-scenes picture from the plane that took the team to the UAE and looks like he travelled with his family.

The team arrived safely in the UAE and have since checked into their hotels. Azam gave fans a look at his personal suite on Instagram. The cricketer will be enjoying some killer views from his window, that's for sure.

Pakistan's first match on October 24 will be against cricket rivals India. Talk about heading into the World Cup with a bang. Fans on both sides of the border are nervous and excited as they rally behind their home teams.
