The Met Gala 2021 served some serious looks and Kim Kardashian's is one of the most talked about outfits from the event. But that doesn't mean it was the best outfit or even a good one. Most people are pretty confused with what the reality star was going for and so are we.

Kareena Kapoor really got us when she posted about her look on Instagram, asking what was going on.

The outfit was an all-black Balenciga number that covered her from head to toe. In fact, nothing was visible of Kardashian other than a sleek ponytail.

But she's still Kim Kardashian so she went with a full face of makeup underneath.

We suppose some highbrow fashionistas might have really loved the look, but Kardashian became the butt of most netizens' jokes for her look.

Some thought she might be cosplaying.

Others tried seeing it from her point of view.

She looks like a locked character in a video game, said some.

Lots of people could relate.

Even if they didn't want to.

She reminded some people of family.

She reminded others of outfit changes between cities.

Others summed up her outfit in one picture.

This year's Met Gala theme was American fashion and we aren't really sure how Kardashian's outfit ties in with that. Was she making a political statement? Advocating the importance of wearing masks?
