Celebrities remember 'true warrior' Asma Nabeel's legacy

Condolences started pouring in on social media after the screenwriter passed away in Karachi.

Asma Nabeel, who wrote TV serials such as Baandi and Khuda Mera Bhi Hai, recently passed away in Karachi. As the news broke out, many people took to social media to mourn the loss and remember her.

Celebrities in particular have posted about the impact Nabeel and her writing had on those who had the opportunity to work with her.

Actor Adnan Siddiqui called Nabeel a "warrior" whose dramas were exceptionally well written.

Actor Faysal Quraishi also took to Twitter and called Nabeel a fighter and survivor.

Actor Yasir Hussain highlighted the award he won for his role in the screenwriter's drama Baandi

Celebrity stylist and costume designer Rao Ali Khan recalled that Nabeel was the first one to believe in his talent and support his career. "I owe her big time," he said.

Journalist Shahzaib Khan remembered the screenwriter for the impact she had on his career.

Actor Mansha Pasha said she was proud to have worked in a serial written by her.

Designer Ali Xeeshan also took to Twitter to mourn the loss. Nabeel had recently starred in his campaign to highlight the prevalence of breast cancer in Pakistan. The screenwriter was a vocal breast cancer advocate after her own fight and recovery from the disease.

Actors Sami Khan and Nabeel Qureshi expressed grief on her demise as well.

Actor Bilal Abbas Khan said that Nabeel was one of the strongest women he had the honour of meeting. "Her conviction and passion when I met her showed that she is indeed a real fighter," he said.

Actor Aisha Malik who starred in the screenwriter's play Khuda Mera Bhi Hai expressed grief over the loss of "a true friend, an outstanding writer and a true warrior".

Actor Tipu Sharif remembered Asma Nabeel as well as veteran actor Anwar Iqbal who also passed away on earlier on Thursday.

Condolences continue to pour in as more people pay tribute to the writer.
