Could the next PSL anthem be sung by Akcent?

People are still talking about 'Groove Mera' the PSL 6 anthem sung by Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig and Young Stunners and the reactions are still mixed.

Romanian singer-songwriter Adrian Sînă, who is the frontman for Akcent (the band used to have more members but now they're just down to one), posted a picture of himself at a YouTube Music event in Europe wearing a Pakistani kurta.

People loved his outfit — he paired the black kurta with a black leather jacket, black pants and white sneakers — but that wasn't all they spoke about in the comment section. Some people began asking Akcent to do the next PSL anthem and his reply to one comment caught everyone's attention.

Akcent replied to a fan calling for him to do the next PSL anthem and asked them to start a trend on Twitter with the hashtag #AkcentWeWantPSL6Song and "maybe" they would make it happen.

He then posted about it on Twitter and asked whether he should aim for PSL7 or PSL8.

Akcent singing the PSL anthem is not impossible. The band has a lot of popularity in Pakistan and has performed in the country several times.

He also posts about Pakistan quite a bit.

Like his friendship with former ISPR chief Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor.

Or wishing Pakistan a happy Independence Day.

Or wishing the Lahore Qalandars luck.

Or wishing everyone a happy Sindh Culture Day.

Some people were also on board with Akcent singing the next PSL anthem and began trending the hashtag on Twitter.

What do you think? Should Akcent sing the next PSL anthem? Let us know in the comments below.

I always have love and respect for anybody who embraces Pakistan, but it's just sad to see Pakistanis desperately looking overseas for artistic contributions. It seems whether it's our musicians or our Nobel prize winners, we feel a natural hatred towards our own celebrities.

After the latest list of around 1,200 accounts which government of India asked Twitter to ban for allegedly spreading misinformation around the ongoing farmers' protest, Twitter blocked around 97% of the accounts" Modi walks the talk . Does not believe in Container Top politics.

Pakistan's obsession with theme songs for a cricket league is hilarious and down right hilarious. Why do you guys fight every year over a theme song? Crowd density and quality of telecast is average. Concentrate on that.

@HashBrown® Music, art, literature all transcend borders as has been the case for millennia. Composers, authors, performers, musicians have made an impact on the human community far beyond their countries of origin. It's wonderful how the arts can provide great opportunities for sharing and be a means to bring people, and cultures, closer together.

Please don't follow PSL if you hate everything here. Sorry! We don't live up to the standards of Baby Doll or Gandi Baat kinda songs.

@joe why do Modi need a container when all the extremists are dancing on his tunes?
Browngirl Feb 13, 2021 12:26am
Wasn't he briefly famous in the early 2000s? I guess his fan base is 30 somethings.
