These Pakistani celebs want you to stay safe and stay home

Stars like Aaminah Sheikh, Mahira Khan, Sarmad Khoosat and more raise awareness about Covid-19 and social distancing.

Sindh is now in lockdown for 15 days in order to contain the spread of Covid-19, which has been declared a pandemic. Should the rest of Pakistan follow suit?

While Shehzad Roy has already expressed his support for such a decision, it seems like the fraternity agrees.

Other Pakistani stars are teaming up to encourage the nation to go in lockdown mode.

Aaminah Sheikh, Mahira Khan, HSY, Ahsan Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Meesha Shafi, Ayesha Omar and many more participate in the video collaboration with the Ministry of Health, encouraging people to be responsible.

"Coronavirus spreads from person to person contact... which is why we need to limit or stop such contact."

They speak on the importance of social distancing and how everyone needs to practice it, not just to keep themselves safe but those around them as well.

"The most important element in social distancing is self-isolation or self-quarantining."

They also proceed to mention the safety precautions such as washing hands for 20 seconds and monitoring symptoms.

It's good to see our celebrities using their platform to raise awareness for the better; it's certainly much better than all of them singing an odd cover of 'Imagine' by John Lennon like Hollywood folks. Clearly, they're a little more self-aware.

I humbly request to all my fellow citizens, politicians and world leaders and say: stop blaming each other and, instead focus on unity, creating more awareness about adverse effects of COVID-19 virus, following all guidelines issued by WHO - i.e. washing your hands for 20+ seconds, avoid socialising, gatherings and travelling, etc. I also urge to so called supper powers, focus on urgently developing anti-coronavirus vaccine to control this natural calamity - don't blame each other and play dirty politics, there would be plenty of time to do this, once the virus is dispelled. In essence, we all have to come out of our comfort zones and play our part now for the sake of our country, families and entire humanity - be safe! (Note: I regularly advocate my impartial views against injustice, inequality, oppression and nepotism without supporting any of the political parties. My family, country and people's wellbeing is far more important to me than anything else - be aware of fake IDs').
