Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly are now man and wife and have gotten hitched in quintessential Sahad fashion.

The two jet off to Abu Dhabi for an intimate nikkah ceremony only surrounded by close friends and family, no bloggers or media.

First glimpses of the groom started rolling in

The expression on Ahad's face was priceless when the qazi accidentally said Adnan Raza Mir...

The happy couple kept things very low-key but were sweet enough to share one shot with well-wishing fans

I can see a broken "Naaryal" in the background. Where the tradition of breaking a Coconut has entered in Mainstream Pakistani wedding culture and traditions.? Bohris do have this tradition in Pakistan . Another thing is the fanfare with which our actors going into their wedding. In these times of COVID19 when people are cancelling functions we still want to be in the limelight.

@Asfand sadly ignorance (jahalat) is rampant in Pakistan. But you are right. Islamically a woman shouldn't change e her maiden name yo her husbands. Most non-desi Muslims outside Pakistan don't do that.

People are criticizing them for having this wedding in Zaya Nurai Island maybe her father work in Abudhabi and he cant spare much time to arrange it in Pakistan. People need to be more accommodating.

@Nk they should delay getting married until after Corona is over? We are not promised tomorrow. If you love somebody and want to be together, call a qazi, have your nearest and dearest as witnesses, say bismillah! If they wanted to make it about themselves they would have thrown some huge event with celebrations spanning several days, with expensive outfits add a list guests. They kept it surprisingly simple. Good on them. Just say congratulations next time.
