Wearing white is the brightest choice this summer
Not going to lie, this one makes us a little nervous.
Tea stains are a VERY real possibility but hey, at least you'll look white hot! Yep, we're talking about the annual all-white trend that emerges every summer.
We know, we know, Cannes is primarily a film festival but it's also a great time to go trend spotting. Entertainers from around the globe show up and glow up on its red carpet; this year around, we noticed that the absence of colour was indeed the IT colour of the season. White on white is sophisticated, chic and oh so breezy.
Nearly all the Bollywood divas in attendance stepped out dressed to the nines in head to toe white at least once during their time at the fest. Here's proof we're not making this up:
Sonam Kapoor suited up
Dressed in an ivory Ralph & Russo tux, Sonam means business!
Priyanka Chopra likes it so much, she wore it twice
She even got Nick Jonas to twin with her! Have to say, she should've worn this Georges Hobeika number on her wedding!
In a pleated Honayda jumpsuit, a tribute to Princess Diana's 1987 Cannes appearance.
Aishwarya Rai surprisingly rocked this fluffy number
Cutest loofah we ever saw?
Diana Penty channeling some old world charm
Love everything about this look from the play on different textures to the jewellery.
Kangana Ranaut knows all-white is anything but boring
That top knot gives the look an edge.
Deepika Padukone keeping it casual
This flirty, breezy outfit by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini is everything! Perfectly paired with delicate jewellery, a braided belt and retro sunnies.
Huma Qureshi sari, not sorry about this one
Qureshi kept it traditional in a pure white Gaurav Gupta sari with a matching cape.
