Size has nothing to do with being fit or healthy: Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan's size 0 in Tashan caused a media frenzy. Everyone was talking about it, and continues to do so, but the actor is more confident in who she is now and doesn't seem to want to go back.

In an interview with Indian Express, Kareena said of actors embracing their natural size:

"I think if you are doing it for a part, it’s great. But I think, otherwise, one should just be comfortable the way they are. As far as fitness is concerned, one should be fit and healthy, that’s something every girl should aspire to be. And I always say, size has nothing to do with being healthy or being fit. It’s about how comfortable you are."

Late last year, in an interview with Vogue India, Kareena echoed similar sentiments, clarifying that she didn't intend on her 2009 figure to become a benchmark for women.

"I don’t know how the size-zero thing started—but I was only 27 and I wanted to do it for a role," she admitted.

"It looked amazing, but that was then. I’ve been in the business for a long time since, and I’m more mature—now, it’s about being fit. I’m definitely comfortable in my skin right now."

The actor has been the target of fat-shaming since her pregnancy, but the Veere Di Wedding star didn't let that get to her and returned to her gym routine a couple of months after her son Taimur's birth.
