Amna Babar bashes harassers in viral Instagram post

Pakistani model Amna Babar has bashed a gang of three men who harassed and stalked her as she ran errands in her hometown Lahore yesterday.

In a now viral Instagram post, Amna shared that the men made obscene faces and gestures towards her and even called her names. They followed her from the road into a mall she had taken her mother, she shared.

Amna further shared that even though she was harassed in broad daylight, noone told off the harassers and it was only when her mother made a threatening advance towards them that they dispersed.

The experience left Amna shaken and with a lot of questions: "Why do men feel the need to threaten women and girls. When will this ever stop??? Why do people just stand and watch why is this acceptable???"

Got upset and terribly disturbed internally because it's very relatable situation for every girl/woman in Pakistan. Look at their age I'm shocked. What a sick mind they've got. You did a great job by clicking these sick****s. Their sick n so called "manhood" is always projected through such heinous acts. Anyways you've done great job by reporting them. Good that you took the pic of these goons and shared online. I believe best way to approach is to identify these boys and pay a visit to their family and let them know what their boys are doing out on the roads! I seriously doubt our police will EVER be able to do ANYTHING to stop such acts from happening!

Feel so disgusted when I witness such events, a society that cannot guarantee the safety and dignity of its women folk, it's just soo disheartening. The culture combined with the lawlessness is to blame. These people won't change unless they are shown the baton. The new government needs to work hard to improve the police all over the country, and to introduce and enforce laws against harassment and such acts.

This is not anywhere near the acceptable behavior of our youth. Unfortunately, we fail to notice when our kids grow to start such activities. Parents are more to blame for such nuisances growing.

@Speak_Truth where I am also disturbed by their behaviour but the issue is bigger than that and punishing by beating the youth will only make things worst. You should move to Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan they are more suited to your current idea of justice.
