While fans were entranced by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's big, beautiful wedding, not a lot is known about the new couple's relationship.

That changes with the couple's latest interview with Vogue India, where they open up about how they met, their wedding planning and their dynamics as a couple.

Sonam and Anand dated for a couple of years before they tied the knot on the second anniversary of their first meeting.

Here are some more fun facts about their relationship:

1) The couple first met on... you guessed it, Snapchat!

The couple shared that it was only after two months of talking on Snapchat and Facebook that they progressed to late-night phone calls.

“The first time we met, we talked about our respective work," shared Anand. "I was just struck by the fact that I could speak to her so openly about everything. We were chatting on Snapchat one night and she said, ‘Stop texting, just call me.’ And we spoke for two hours that night… Our friendship started over superficial things like vegan chocolates and sneakers but soon we were having deeper conversations.”

Soon Sonam and Anand decided it was time to meet. Sonam chose London, since Anand lived there and she had a fitting with designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo in the city prior to her Cannes appearance.

2) Neither of them dressed up for their first date...

On that first meeeting in London, Anand was in his gym clothes and Sonam in her “gross” trackpants and tee.

Did that matter? Nope. They spent the entire day walking around London, talking. And exactly two years from that day, they wed in Mumbai!

3) ...and Anand hated her shoes!

She recalls her first date, “I was apparently wearing the worst sneakers he had ever seen. I keep telling him that he fell in love with me despite my bad sneaker game…"

4) They fell for each other instantly, awww!

"That day, walking and talking in London, I knew he was the love of my life. He apparently knew the first time we spoke on the phone… It was just so easy,” shares Sonam.

5) Fawad Khan's Khoobsurat is one of Anand's favourite Sonam-starrer

While Anand acknowledges the brilliance of Sonam's performance in Neerja, he’s a little partial to Aisha and Khoobsurat. “Aisha, because that’s what people know her, as this amazing fashionista, and Khoobsurat because that’s her personality—that’s the Sonam I know.”
